If you want to know how to handle prostate problems, ask Nurse Kelly Keech.
The mother of two year old twin boys, Kelly, 32, who works as a continence nurse for Sunderland Teaching Primary Health Care Trust, says that she's bang up-to-date on prostate care. She attended our ABC Seminar at the Newcastle Falcon's Rugby Club in April.
As Kelly explains: 'Of course as a Community Nurse, I was aware of prostate diseases. During a decade working in the community, I have looked after prostate patients in their homes, but my knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases was limited. But not now.'
'I didn't realise all the different forms prostate disease can take, nor did I fully comprehend the scope of treatments now available. Certainly the knowledge I gained will help with my assessments of my prostate patients in the future. I had no idea just how many men suffered from these problems.'
