Profitable plants
The wives of the Yeovil Lions Club held their annual Plant Sale this year at the home of Fred and Lyn Monson in Marston Magna. They sold over 2000 bedding, herbaceous, herb and vegetable plants and shrubs together with coffees, teas, cakes and books. Despite the heavy rain they were well supported and raised £1,748.48 that has been rounded up to £2000 by the Lions Club to be shared between the Prostate Research Campaign UK and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
