Fake prostate drug recalled
The UK's health regulator recalled a suspicious batch of what purported to be AstraZeneca's prostate cancer drug Casodex 50mg last June. It was the third such case in a week.
The fake Casodex 50mg (batch 65520) was supplied in French packaging. Initial tests on the seized samples showed that they contained about 75% of the active ingredient stated on the label.
