Prostate Cancer Awareness month has just come to an end - and what a month it was for Prostate UK!
As you will read, Sir Stirling Moss donned his golden pants to help launch Pants in the Park 2010. This year we will be in 11 parks across the UK. Do come and join in the fun.
The Reading Half Marathon marked the start of the challenge events for 2010 and we had a magnificent team of runners flying the flag - and raising funds - for Prostate UK.
Our Royal Patron, HRH The Duchess of Gloucester, joined us at London's Wigmore Hall when we were the beneficiaries of the annual Jacqueline du Pré concert. I was delighted to welcome a new Prostate UK supporter, Duran Duran lead singer Simon Le Bon (pictured above), who was at the concert with his family.
The information leaflets that we produce have undergone a revamp and update - these are available free of charge from our office. Does your doctor's surgery need a supply? Also, look out for a new film that we have made to help men who are newly diagnosed with prostate cancer understand the treatment options available to them.
As we were going to press, we heard the sad news that Corin Redgrave had died. Corin and his family have been wonderful friends to Prostate UK for a number of years and our thoughts are with Kika, Jemma and the rest of his family.
