FAMILIES
AND CHILDREN
Pants
in the Park is a fun day for all the family - children are most welcome!
Pants in the Park provides much to see and do, all in one place! The
parks have great facilities such as children's zoos and adventure playgrounds.
Why not visit these on your Pants in the Park day out? Check out our
location pages for details of each park.
Here
are some tips for making your day even more enjoyable for both you and your children.
Children:
Children under ten are free, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
If children wish to take part and receive the runner's pack (including
a running number) they must register and pay the £5 entry fee.
Planning
for your Trip:
- Plan your day as much as possible before you arrive. Park maps,
how to get there and details of facilities for each of
the parks are available on this website.
- A face painter will be available in each park. Please remember that
a lot of children will be keen to get their faces painted so please
do visit early on.
- Buggies and Tricycles are most welcome in the parks. Children can
also enjoy using the tricycles and bikes in the race (under 5s
only).
- Check out the weather forecast on the day and bring any additional clothes you require.
- St Johns Ambulance staff will be present throughout the event to
provide any first aid required.
- Some of the parks have great boating lakes and ponds for you to
enjoy but please remember to supervise your children at all time,
especially around water.
A
checklist of what to bring:
- Sunscreen and hats for both you and your child. Apply sunscreen
ahead of time and wear a hat to help keep the sun off heads
and faces.
- Drinks and snacks to give your children - there are refreshments
available at each of the parks but feel free to bring your own. How
about bringing a picnic for after the prize giving?
- Running number
- Safety pins (to pin your running number to your t-shirt)
And
most importantly - HAVE FUN
