Roundhay
Park, Leeds - Father's Day - 15th June 2008 |

One of Europe’s largest city parks, Roundhay Park has over 700 acres of parkland, lakes and woodland. The Park includes scented gardens for the blind, National Plant Collections, Canal Gardens, the Monet Garden and Alhambra Gardens, plus Tropical World which attracts visitors from far and wide.

Timetable
Please ensure that you check in with us when you arrive at Pants
in the Park – the Prostate UK desk will be located close to
the fun run starting point.
10.00 — 10.45 Check-in
11.00 — 11.00 Start of run – Barrans
Fountain
12.00 — 12.15 Prize giving
Once you have finished the run/walk please don't forget to collect
your well deserved medal!
Main route (5km) The 'start' and 'finish' lines are located at Barrans Fountain (see map). There will be safety marshals in fluorescent waistcoats along the route to guide you.
Short route If you would prefer to have a leisurely stroll or if you are taking part with young children, we are happy for you to do as much as you wish.
How to get to Roundhay Park

| By train: | Take a train to Leeds station and then either a No. 2 or 12 bus or a taxi from the city centre to Roundhay Park. |
| By bus: | Catch the No 2 or 12 bus from the city centre to Roundhay Park. |
| By car: | Roundhay Park is 3 miles north of Leeds city centre off the A58 Wetherby Road at Oakwood. It is also accessable from the A6120 Leeds Ring Road by turning off onto Park Lane, along Park View Crescent and onto Princes Avenue. |
Entertainment and facilities
Safety: Please be aware of other users of the park and be careful of uneven paths. If you or a fellow runner is hurt, please contact the nearest marshal who will be able to help you. Volunteers from St John Ambulance will be present. If a serious accident or incident occurs please alert the nearest marshal who will call the appropriate emergency services.
Don't forget to bring: Appropriate clothing for unpredictable weather, sun protection cream, a hat, bottled water and most importantly your fancy dress pants! For more hints and tips please see Fun Run Tips.
Make a day of it: Spectators are also welcome. Why not bring along a picnic and make a day of it? Roundhay Park has lots of other attractions such as Tropical World, the land railway and a number of special interest gardens – for more information please take a look at www.leeds.gov.uk.
Parking: Free car parking is available by both Princes Avenue and Weatherby Road. Parking is entirely at your own risk.
