COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING EVENTS
Prostate UK is joined by an ever increasing number of local groups and communities to help raise money to stop prostate disease ruining lives. Here is a list of the currently planned events - please join us if you can.
20 April 2010 - Playing Pop for Prostate UK, University of Westminster,
London NW1
Some of the brightest and up and coming musicians have agreed to perform
at our first Playing Pop for Prostate UK music day at the University of
Westminster. The musicians will be busking to help raise funds at the Marylebone
Students Union. If you are interested in volunteering at this event, or

22 May 2010 - 5-a-side Football Tournament, The Westway, London
W10
We are holding a 5-a-side football tournament for all of you football fanatics.
Do you have the skills to win our trophy? Can you see yourself as scoring
the winning goal in the final minutes? We are looking for teams of between
5 – 7 players and entry is £100.00 per team. There will also be an award
ceremony afterwards and the chance to win some great football related prizes.

26 May 2010 - Back of the Net football quiz launch, Bar Kick,
London EC1
Get ready for a summer of football by participating in our World Cup themed
quiz night. This is the perfect occasion for football fans to test their
knowledge of the beautiful game in the perfect surroundings of Bar Kick
in Shoreditch. The quiz will include rare World Cup facts, cracking raffle
prizes and our first ever table football tournament! We will even have
a round dedicated to the Wags, so this really is a night not to be missed!

31 July 2010 - Paws in the Park, Clissold Park, Stoke Newington

Our very own charity dog walk celebrating the special relationship between
a man and his dog. Why not give your canine companion a special treat and
enjoy the beautiful surroundings that Clissold Park has to offer, meet
other supporters (both from the two and four legged variety) and raise
awareness of prostate disease. The walk will commence at 11am with participants
meeting outside the cafe, there will also be the chance to view an exhibition
of 250 cardboard dog sculptures. For more information please call Jack

27 October 2010 - RAG Raid, London Borough of Westminster
Prostate UK will be holding its very first London RAG (Raising And Giving)
raid. We are calling on the services of as many London University RAG
societies as possible, who will be actively fundraising within the London
Borough of Westminster wearing fantastic fancy dress outfits and armed
with a collection bucket. We are also looking for volunteers to help

"Pint for Prostates" pub quizzes.
Are you a clevor Trevor or a super brain Jane? If you enjoy general knowledge
then you could organise a Pint for Prostates pub quiz. They are easy
to run and a lot of fun for all those involved. We will send you a free
quiz pack which is full of useful information which lists everything
that you need for the night, promotional advice and even questions! (should
you need them). And the great thing about our Pint for Prostates pub
quiz is that it can be organised at any time throughout the year! If
